Flatbed dispatch pricing

Flatbed dispatch cost: 6% of gross, and that is it

The full flatbed dispatch cost fits on one line: 6% of the gross on loads you haul with one truck, 5% when you run 2 or more. No setup fee, no minimum, no long contract, and a week you sit costs you nothing.

Below is what the fee covers, a worked EXAMPLE week with tarp pay, and a calculator you can run against your own numbers.

Formula: fee = weekly gross x 6%. Gross means the total the broker pays on the rate con, including tarp pay and accessorials. Fuel, tolls and your other costs come out of what you keep. Weeks you don't haul cost nothing.

What the fee covers

One percentage. Everything a dispatch desk does.

There are no add-ons, no per-packet charges and no premium tier. The same desk work comes with every truck.

  • Load sourcing on the major load boards plus direct broker and shipper contacts
  • Rate negotiation on every load, including tarp pay and accessorials
  • Broker calls and carrier packet setup
  • Check calls and delivery updates
  • Deadhead and reload planning
  • Detention, layover and TONU claims
  • A weekly earnings report
  • Dispatchers available nights and weekends

The math, with tarp pay

An EXAMPLE week on one flatbed

Three loads, two of them tarped, one with detention. These are example numbers, not a forecast; your lanes and the market set the real ones. Notice that the fee is figured on the whole gross, tarp and detention included, which is also why we push for that pay on every rate con.

Fleet rate

2 trucks or more: 5% on every one

Put a second open-deck truck on our desk and the whole fleet drops to 5% of gross. That covers mixed equipment too: a flatbed and a step deck together count as two trucks. Fleets get one weekly report with a line per truck.

Terms, in plain words

What you sign, and what you do not

  • You approve every load. We negotiate and send you the details. Nothing is booked until you say yes.

  • No haul, no pay. The fee is only charged on loads you actually haul.

  • Month-to-month. Cancel any time with 30 days notice.

  • No setup fee, no minimum. You pay nothing until you haul.

What we are not

  • Not a broker. Brokers pay you, or your factoring company, directly.
  • Not a load board subscription. A person negotiates your loads.
  • Not an insurance agency or a lender.

Before you set your minimum, check current flatbed rates per mile, what brokers ask for in flatbed insurance, and how to vet flatbed freight brokers. Then read how onboarding works.

Pricing FAQ

Questions about the fee

How much does a flatbed dispatcher charge?

Most independent flatbed dispatchers charge either a percentage of the gross load pay or a flat weekly fee. We charge 6% of gross for a single truck and 5% for fleets of 2 or more trucks, with no setup fee and nothing on weeks you do not haul.

What counts as gross?

Gross is the total the broker agrees to pay for the load on the rate confirmation: linehaul, fuel if it is listed separately, tarp pay and any accessorials paid on that load. Your fuel, tolls, insurance and truck costs are yours and are not part of the fee math.

Is there a setup fee, a minimum or a long contract?

No setup fee and no weekly minimum. The agreement is month-to-month and you can cancel with 30 days notice.

How does the fleet rate work?

Once you run 2 or more trucks with us, every truck in the fleet is dispatched at 5% of gross. It is our standard fleet price, not a promotion.

Will a dispatcher get me higher rates?

Nobody can honestly promise a rate. Markets move week to week. What we can promise is that every load is negotiated, tarp and detention terms are written on the rate con before you roll, and you see the numbers before you accept.

Start at 6%. Drop to 5% when you add a truck.

Apply in about a minute and a dispatcher will call you. If it is not a fit, you have spent nothing. Back to the flatbed dispatch home page.
